I am a social media and digital marketing strategist with experience encompassing global companies, agencies, tech start-ups and consumer brands. I am very interested in the intersection of culture, technology and media, and the resulting opportunities that are emerging for brands. I share my thoughts here. Occasionally I write about fitness and travel, two strong passions of mine.
I’m currently leading the development of Allstate Canada’s social and digital media strategy, focused on our new GOOD HANDS Blog while also enabling sales agents across the country to use Facebook and LinkedIn. Prior to Allstate, I worked on contract for Havas Digital, leading the development of seasonal digital work for Home Hardware, and I was at Intuit, where I was responsible for guiding the development of Intuit’s consumer tax (TurboTax) and accounting professionals division social strategies. I was also a Social Media Manager at Chaordix, a crowdsourcing software-as-a-service platform provider, developing strategy and managing communities for clients including Monster and Psion (through their agency, FutureBrand), and have had consumer marketing roles at Ethical Funds and Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company.
I live in Toronto, but am from Vancouver originally and I consider both cities to be home. When I’m not focused on marketing, I can likely be found running or cycling, or perhaps in a cafe planning my next big travel adventure.
